 My name is Ed Nathanson and I have been affiliated with the Lady Lake
Police Department since 1981. I have had the pleasure of serving as police chief
since the end of 1996.
I would like to welcome you to
the Town of Lady Lake. This website is designed to help you learn more about our
department and the services that we provide to protect and serve our community

The Lady Lake Police Department
is committed to safeguarding the lives and property of all who live, work, and
visit our town. We are a
24/7 law enforcement agency that is
staffed by a group of professional and dedicated men and women who provide
a variety of services ranging from
assisting with medical emergencies to
zealous apprehension of
criminals and everything in between.
In
any police organization, the need for a smooth and constant flow of
information, guidance and instruction is of the highest priority to facilitate
quick and timely responses to
the needs of the community. The
majority of calls for service from any police
organization fall under the category of reactionary response. Our agency
also strives to provide
a
proactive posture and approach
to
developing crime trends within our
own community.
Our
community policing concepts have expanded through the years, adjusting to
our town's growing needs. While our department has made
great strides in the past couple of decades,
the need to change and adapt is constant and essential to avoid
complacency and stagnation.
In the ever changing law
enforcement environment it is imperative that every member of this police
department receive, on a continuing basis, the most comprehensive training
available to improve knowledge and skill levels.
Additionally,
we must provide our
agency with the best quality
crime fighting tools and resources to
help deter, detect, apprehend and prosecute criminals. These same tools are
equally important for the protection of our community and the safety of our
officers.
Our agency's policing philosophy
supports the view that criminal activity is
most successfully addressed and alleviated by partnering with
our community, as well as, unifying our
efforts with other local, state and federal agencies.
It is my personal goal for the
Lady Lake Police Department to continue to provide the highest level of
professional law enforcement services. I assure you that my door is always open
and I am willing to listen with a sincere
desire to assist you with your concerns. The members of this
agency are dedicated to serving this
community and enhancing the quality of life in the Town of Lady Lake.
