TOWN OF LADY LAKE RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS
Definition of
Solid Waste: Includes household garbage, yard trash and bulk
items.
Limit:
There is a 3 cubic yard limit for solid waste each collection day.
Amounts exceeding the 3 cubic yard limit will be picked up the next
collection day, provided any additional amounts put out do not cause the
daily limit to be exceeded.
Solid waste exceeding 3
cubic yards can be picked up for a fee. You may order the special
pickup by calling Waste Management at 787-4416.
Household garbage
containers are issued by Waste Management. Please contact Waste
Management for a waste receptacle at 352-787-4416.
Do not use red
colored bags, as this type bag is used for bio-hazardous medical
waste only.
Recycling Containers can be picked up at the Lady Lake
Public Works Complex. Please call Lady Lake Public Works Department at
352-751-1526.

Cardboards boxes should
be flattened and bundled and placed in or next to the Recycling
Container.
Yard Trash
is defined as grass clippings, leaves, shrubbery and tree cuttings, pine
needles, palm fronds, etc. Yard trash must be no more than 6 feet in
length and no more than 6 inches in diameter and should be stacked
neatly at the curb. Leaves, grass clippings and pine needles must be
bagged or containerized. No bag or can should exceed the 40-pound
weight limit.
Bulk items
(i.e., furniture, carpeting, appliance, etc.) should be placed at the
curb collection point. Appliances require special pickup arrangements,
which can be made by calling Waste Management at 787-4416.
Refrigerators and freezers should have the doors removed.
Hazardous wastes
such as lawn or pool chemicals, tires, etc., WILL NOT be picked
up. For latex paint (water based) disposal, remove the lid, let any
paint in the can dry, then place in a household garbage container.

Tires:
Neither the Town nor Waste Management will accept tires for collection.
Residents must take the unwanted tires to a tire retailer for
recycling. There is a small disposal fee, state required.
