“Tarek” have been working together for the Town of Lady Lake for approximately 2
years. Officer L. Cabrera has been with the Town for approximately 3 years.
Tarek, is a 4 ½ year old Sable German Shepherd, Belgium import, currently patrol

which have resulted in seizures that generate revenue for the police department.
As a member of our local tri-city drug task force K-9 Tarek has had two
apprehensions with bites, from the result of narcotics operations. In addition,
K-9 Tarek, just recently apprehended with a bite a dangerous W/F who committed
an armed robbery in the local “Target” store and had committed other serious
crimes throughout neighboring counties. K-9 Tarek is being recognized for this
apprehension by the MCSO for the “Eagle Eye Award”
Tarek’s and Officer L. Cabrera responsibilities are
to patrol the Town of Lady Lake answer patrol & K-9 related calls, conduct
highway interdiction and be available to conduct public demonstrations for
schools, elderly and dignitary personnel. Tarek’s success has earned him the
LOVE the citizens in the Town of Lady Lake have given him. His well-balanced
character gives him the ability to conduct himself properly in a demonstration
or apprehend a suspect when needed.

highest score ever at the National Championships. Tarek has given the community
and I more than anyone can ask from a K-9 partner, I am forever grateful for his
hard work and unconditional LOVE.
