Summary
On May 7, 2018, the Town Commission approved the original MOU with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office regarding a collaborative DUI Task Force to include all Lake County municipalities. The new Sheriff’s Office Legal Counsel has suggested a revision to the original MOU granting the Town’s officers authority without the need to be formally deputized by the Sheriff. There is no other operational or financial impact. Town Attorney Derek Schroth has reviewed and approved this MOU revision.
