Approval to Partner with the Lady Lake Historical Society to Host a Movie Night on September 28, 2019, to Include a Movie and Free Hot Dogs and Chips for Attendees, in Celebration of the Smithsonian’s National Museum Day.
Summary
In working with the Lady Lake Historical Society, staff discussed utilizing one of the Town’s budgeted movie nights to play “Night at the Museum” while serving hot dogs and chips before and during the event. This will be a first year event in the Spirit of National Museum Day hosted by the Smithsonian Institute which takes place on September 21st. The proposed hours will be between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Staff anticipates the cost of hot dogs and chips to be around $400.00 on the high end. The total estimated budget for the evening will be $1,400.00 although it is expected to come in under that since movie rights vary according to the age and popularity of the movie. The Town’s insurance will cover all aspects of this event.

Estimated at $1,400.00 to cover screen and projector rental and food related items.
