Staff Recommended Motion
Approve the agreement between the Town of Lady Lake and the Florida Police Benevolent Association for the period of October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022.
Summary
The Town received notification of ratification of the contract on September 19, 2019, with an effective date of October 1, 2019. The changes have been specified by strike through and underline on the attached draft contract. The agreement is for a three year period from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022. During the second and third years of this agreement, the parties may re-open two additional articles each year in addition to a wage reopener. If requested, Article 25 (Drug Testing) may be opened.
Past Actions
The 2017—2019 Agreement between the TOLL and the PBA was approved March 19, 2018.
Article 14 — Wages of the 2017—2019 agreement was amended November 5, 2018.
Fiscal Impact
- 2% COLA and up to a 3% merit increase
- Shift differential pay of $1.00 per hour for members scheduled at 1730/1800 hours
- 365 times 60 (5 officers times 12 hours) equals $21,900
- Eliminate dry cleaning and add clothing maintenance: $13,800 minus $10,800 equals a $3,000 savings
