Approval to Authorize the Town Manager to Sign and Send the Letter of Acceptance of the Official Estimate to Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
Summary
The Town Commission previously approved the Utility Work by Highway Contractor Agreement (UWHC) in December of 2018. This agreement allows the Town to utilize the FDOT contractor to perform necessary utility relocation work as a part of the project at the Town’s expense. The initial estimated amount for the utility work prior to design work by the engineering consultant was $350,000. Design has been completed for the utility relocation work and costs for the installation of new fiber optic conduit have been added to the scope of work. The total FDOT Official Estimate for the project is $1,098,857.20. FDOT is requesting an official letter of acceptance and the additional funds to be transferred to the existing escrow account held by the State.
