Approve to Advertise a Request for Proposal (RFP 2019-001) for a Compensation Study
A compensation study can be used to analyze whether the wage rates, salaries and benefits are competitive with other like municipalities or geographic location. They can be used to determine if the Town’s pay practices comply with employment laws such as the Fair Pay Act 2009 or Equal Pay Act of 1963. Outsourcing the study versus using in-house resources will provide an objective viewpoint.
Source of Funding
The Commission approved funds to conduct a compensation study during the 2020 budget process.
