The Town of Lady Lake joined the Public Risk Management of Florida Property/Casualty Pool on October 1, 1997 and the Group Health Trust Pool on October 1, 2009.

Public Risk Management of Florida’s Article 6.1 of the By-Laws require that each member appoint, in writing, a board member and an alternate to serve on the Board of Directors:

6.1. The Board: There is hereby established a Board of Directors (sometimes hereinafter referred to as the "Board") of the Pool. Each Member shall appoint one person to represent that body (the "Representative") on the Board of Directors along with another person to serve as an alternate representative (the "Alternate") when the Representative is unable to carry out that Representative's duties. The Representative and Alternate shall be appointed in writing by the governing body of the Member and a copy of the written appointment shall be provided to the Executive Director of the Pool. Once such appointments are made known to the Pool, the persons appointed shall remain in office until the Pool receives evidence in writing of the appointment of other persons by the Member's governing body. The Representative and Alternate selected must be an employee, an appointed official or elected official of the entity.
