The Lady Lake Police Department currently utilizes a flat rate for all off duty details that are billable to an entity requesting police services. The flat rate of $35.00 per hour plus a $10.00 vehicle fee has been effective since it was approved in December of 2016. This is currently the lowest rate of surrounding jurisdictions (See attached document for a sampling of other agencies.)

Staff is requesting that the rate be increased to $45.00 per hour plus a $10.00 vehicle fee. This is a minor increase in comparison but is necessary to provide police services at a fair rate for the officers working these details. The flat rate will continue to be paid separately from regular salary through finance and will not be pensionable.
