Summary

On April 20, 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) executed with the Town of Lady Lake to allow Sun Communities Finance, LP time to dig wells to obtain adequate fire flow for the Water Oak Administration Building and Sales Center to provide fire protection. The initial term of the MOU was for a period of 18 months from the date of execution. Given that the terms of the agreement had not been satisfied within the initial term, Sun Communities Finance, LP petitioned the Town Commission at the October 18, 2021, meeting for an extension of an additional 18 months; the Town Commission only granted an extension of an additional 90 days.

Prior to January 20, 2022, it was requested by the Town Commission that if a pressure of 1500 gallons per minute at 20 psi cannot be achieved for the hydrants at the Sales Center and Administration Building, Sun Communities Finance, LP shall appear before the Town Commission to report on the status of the project.
