Commission Meeting Agenda Item

The Lady Lake Parks and Recreation Department will begin running the Lady Lake Farmers Market on February 14, 2023. The location for the Market will be the Rolling Acres Sports Complex. The Market was attracting a large number of vendors and patrons when it was at this location. We are proposing to charge $25.00 per day and $20.00 per day if paid one month at a time. The proposed hours for the Market will be from 9AM-2PM. Set-up will start at 7:30AM. I will run and organize the event; my staff will assist me when I am at staff meetings or at any other obligation. The Market will run from October to May 1st. The summer months have been very slow for the Market and I do not see a reason why we should run a slow event. At this meeting I am looking for any ideas that you may have.
