Commission Budget Workshop Agenda Item

At the July 27, 2023 Budget Workshop, there was some unfinished business regarding two items: body cams for the police department and the annual membership to the Chamber of Commerce. The Police Chief has done more research and talked to vendors so he will be presenting the Commission with enough information for them to make an informed decision. Regarding the donation to the Chamber, the Commission has had enough time to formulate their individual opinions for discussion at the workshop.

Also, after the July workshop, Mike Burske was informed that the Boy Scouts of America has gone bankrupt and no longer needs the doublewide trailer they have been using. Given the condition of the trailer, it is Mr. Burske’s opinion that keeping it would be a liability. The cost to remove the Scout Hut is $30,000.
