Commission Workshop Agenda Item

At the September 19, 2022 Town Commission meeting, the Commission consented to holding a workshop to discuss the lease agreement between the Town and the Chamber of Commerce. The current lease agreement is expiring and a two-year term renewal is on the table; it would take effect on October 1, 2022. Currently, the Chamber pays $10 per year for the use of the Log Cabin and the Train Car. The Town pays $1,800 per year for power. The Town puts forth all the funding for events, including paying overtime to town staff, yet all proceeds of events go to the Chamber. A more equitable arrangement should be considered.
