Town Charter and Code of Ordinances
The Town Charter and the Code of Ordinances are the two instruments that determine how our Commission govern the Town.
The Town Charter includes much of the operational basis for the Town including the composition of the Town Commission and the description of the Town's geographical boundaries. The Town's registered voters can change the Charter through a referendum.
The Code of Ordinances consists of documents that contain detailed information about the operation of the Town including everything from animal control laws to planning and zoning. It is a compilation of the most current regulations and ordinances adopted by the Town.
Ordinance codification is updated throughout the year as the Town grows and changes.
