Commission Meeting Proclamation

WHEREAS, the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club and American Legion Post 347 have requested that the Lady Lake Driving Range be re-named; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Lake Driving Range should include the name of someone who has dedicated over 28 years of volunteer service to the operation and success of the Lady Lake Driving Range; and

WHEREAS, the work and efforts of this individual results in the annual charitable donations to multiple children’s leagues, events, schools, and organizations that benefit the Town of Lady Lake; and

WHEREAS, this individual has been the chief financial officer of the operation for over 14 years and managed the facility for many of his 28 years; and

WHEREAS, many, if not most of the improvements that make up the current Lady Lake Driving Range are a direct result of his efforts; and

WHEREAS, this person has always given service over self to the community.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ruth Kussard, Mayor of the Town of Lady Lake, do hereby proclaim that the driving range located at 230 Rolling Acres Road in the Town of Lady Lake shall be renamed as:

“THE LADY LAKE BOB JOHNSON LEGACY DRIVING RANGE”.
