Volunteers Needed for Disciplinary Arbitration Panel

The Town of Lady Lake, in conjunction with the Florida Police Benevolent Association, is looking for volunteers to serve on the newly created Disciplinary Arbitration Panel (DAP). The DAP will be the final administrative step in any disciplinary grievance not resolved at a lower level. This panel meets on an as-needed basis and will consist of three volunteer members. Additionally, two alternates will be selected to be available to substitute for an absent panel member.

Applicants should have experience in any of the following disciplines:

  • Labor Relations or similar background
  • Human Resources or similar background
  • Personnel Management or similar background

Members volunteering for the DAP must have been a resident of the Town for at least a full calendar year and must maintain residency within the Town limits throughout the duration of the appointment term. A DAP Member must be at least 21 years of age, be able to pass the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) criminal background check, and be willing to attend training.
