Parks, Recreation, and Trees Advisory Committee Meeting
The Parks, Recreation and Tree Board Advisory Committee meeting was held in the Town Hall Commission Chambers at 409 Fennell Blvd., Lady Lake, Florida. The meeting convened at 5:30 p.m.
A. Roll Call
Doris Turlo, Member; Betty Cantelmo, Chairperson/Member; and Chyrle Lowery, Member (Present via Teleconference)

Member Chyrle Lowery chaired this meeting at Chairperson/Member Cantelmo’s request.
B. Public Comment
Acting Chairperson/Member Lowery asked if there was any public comment. There were no comments.
C. New Business
1. Approval of Minutes
Member Turlo made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2020 Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Committee meeting. Member Cantelmo seconded the motion. The motion passed by an all in favor vote of 3 to 0.
2. Consideration of the Conceptual Landscaping Plans and Waiver for the Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe MJM 03/20-001 ― Proposing to Redevelop and Expand from 5,939 Square Feet of Existing Retail to a Total of 9,532 Square Feet of Retail Gross Lease Area — Featuring 430 Square Feet of Office Area; 5,015 Square Feet of General Retail; 1,000 Square Feet of Furniture Retail, and 3,085 Square Feet of Storage Area; with 42 Parking Spaces; Referenced by Alternate Key Numbers 1131448, 1131430, 1131421, and 1260345 (Wendy Then)
Growth Management Director Thad Carroll presented a summary of the agenda item (on file in the Clerk’s office and then turned the presentation over to Michael Pape of Michael Pape & Associates.
Michael Pape of Michael Pape & Associates, P.A., Landscape Architects, presented an overview of the plan and reviewed the waivers requested. He noted that three large historic trees are being preserved with this plan. Mr. Pape stated that R. Campbell of Central Florida Health is also present via teleconference if there are any questions.
Acting Chairperson/Member Lowery asked if there were any further questions or comments. Hearing none, she asked for a motion.
Member Turlo made a motion to send a recommendation of approval to the Commission regarding the conceptual landscaping plans and waiver requests for the Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe MJM 03/20-001. Member Cantelmo seconded the motion. The motion passed by an all in favor vote of 3 to 0.
