Commissioner Roberts is a native of Columbus, Ohio and has resided in the Village of La Reynalda since 2010. She is a retired small business owner. She worked as a jewelry designer, goldsmith and Graduate Gemologist (GIA) as co-owner of her two jewelry stores. She served for five years on the board of directors of the Ohio Jewelers Association, coordinating training and education for a regional trade show. She is an award-winning jewelry designer with more than thirteen regional design awards and placed first nationally with Jewelers of America in 2010.

She joined the US Army while still in high school. She graduated with honors from Kent State University with a degree in Psychology. She became the first woman to be the Cadet Commander at Kent State University ROTC program. She rose to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves serving throughout the US and abroad. She was an Airborne Paratrooper and is a veteran of 1st Gulf War, having served as a mobilization liaison officer for the 83rd Army Reserve Command. She served in the US Army Reserve for over 18 years. She was a member of the 4th US Army National Rifle Marksmanship Team competing at Camp Perry, Ohio for many years.

Commissioner Roberts enjoys playing golf, bocci and shufflepin. She is an avid computer gamer and reader. She enjoys watching Big Ten College football and basketball. She looks forward to golf cart rides and evening walks with her dog, Miles.

She serves as the Town Commission liaison for the Florida League of Cities, Lake County School Concurrency Representative, and the Villages Elementary School of Lady Lake.
