Commissioner Tony Holden, Ward Two
Commissioner Holden is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He has resided in the Oak Grove Subdivision in Lady Lake for many years. He was first elected to the Town Commission in 2006 and has served ward two continuously since that time. His current two-year term will expire in November 2020.
He is a retired firefighter and Ohio National Guardsman and comes from a family of farmers and builders. He initially purchased a home in Lady Lake intending to be a snowbird, but soon became a full-time resident instead.
Commissioner Holden is proud of his work on behalf of the Town. "It is an honor to serve on the Town Commission. I have always believed that we should run municipalities in a quasi-businesslike manner. This approach makes the very best use of our tax revenue."
He also believes that working with developers requires a strong hand. "I enjoy the challenge of considering our community's current and future needs along with the financing requirements. We must ensure that our future streets and access roads are placed properly."
He has been a member of the American Legion Post 347 for the past fifteen years.
